Boccia at Concordia

We have been approached by an organisation called Smile Through sport, who are running a trial season of Boccia at Concordia this Spring.

Boccia is a sport best known as a paralympic wheelchair event, however, this version is for able bodied participants.

The game is based on the French sport of Boules and involves throwing weighted leather balls, a little bigger than a tennis ball to a Jack, the nearest being the winner.

The organisers feel that it may well be a perfect off season pastime for lawn bowlers such as us, hence the approach.

The following dates have been reserved to have a trial run of 6 sessions:

Feb – 2nd and 16th

Mar – 2nd, 16th and 30th

Apr – 13th

All sessions are 3pm to 4pm at a cost of £4 per player.
