Welcome to Cramlington Bowling Club

We are a long established club based in Ann Welfare, Cramlington, Northumberland the club has many seasoned top class bowlers many at county level. The club operates with two teams, Cramlington and Klondyke. Cramlington are involved in all of the county leagues and a number of county cup competitions, participating in the Knight, Nines and Clegg Leagues and at local level in the Blyth valley, Crawford Smith and Parliamentary leagues.  Klondyke are involved in the Blyth Valley and Crawford Smith Leagues.

Our Members take part in many county competitions where over the years they have been very successful and gone on to represent the County in a number of National Finals.
The Club also run many club competitions throughout the season as can be seen from the menu selections in the competitions section, these competitions are well contested by members of all levels. We also run a twice weekly open jumbles competition which is very popular. At the beginning and end of the season we hold a members only jumble.

In August we hold the Cramlington Open where teams from far and wide travel to Cramlington to take part. This is an all day event with refreshments available.

We also play a number of friendly games each year against a wide range of neighbouring clubs.

New members are always welcome and you can be assured of a warm reception! So if you fancy playing bowls our members would be only too pleased to help and advise.

Coaching and bowls are provided free while you learn. Here is a chance to do some gentle exercise and make new friends. The club continues to attracted new members each season many of whom are bowling for the very first time. The ethos of the club has always been one of being warm and friendly and welcoming to everyone.

During the Summer months (mid April to early September) we meet most days at the club, and then in Winter (September to April) we play indoors at The Parks, North Shields and West Denton Indoor Bowls Club. So, if  you are interested in playing bowls please do not hesitate to contact us.
