We’ve had a somewhat mixed season this year disappointment in losing our Div.1 status in both the Knight and Clegg leagues but have retained our Div.1 status in the Nines League.
County Championship Programme.
Many of our members took part in the county programme playing in a number of singles and doubles matches without success. I’m sure they will try again next year.
County Jubilee Cup Success
This year we entered two teams. Team A (Kevin Miles, John Summerside, Colin Taylor and Arthur Allonby) and Team B (Darren Mitchell, Bob Harrison, David Smith and Tony Fantozzi). Team B running out the eventual winners with Team A reaching the final round. Congratulations to you all.
We also entered teams in the Edwardson Cup and Challenge Cup competitions without success, but I’m sure we will try again next year
Local League Games
We have been much more successful here taking part in 3 local leagues The Blyth Valley Veterans League, The, Crawford Smith League and The Parliamentary Div. 2 league. This year we have won both The Crawford Smith League and The Parliamentary league Div.2 (Promoted to Div.1). As for the Blyth Valley Vets League we only managed to finish mid-table
Local League Games
Playing in both the Crawford Smith League and the Blyth Valley Veterans League a disappointing season finishing in the bottom half of both leagues.
