The Rington’s Cup final was played on Monday 18th August at Westerhope Bowling Club. The rink of David Smith, John Harrison & Bob Harrison from Cramlington played against the Gosforth rink of Mike Hall, David Lane & Chris Brown. Cramlington emerged as winners and as such have the honour of getting their club name on the cup for the first time.
